a day full of heartbreak

it was a day full of heartbreak for me..
it all started from 3 am...
D
netherland 0 -1 portugal
after 12yrs of loyalty to them..
my heart sunk once again
my ORANJE made a GRAND EXIT
& with a record smashing "closing ceremony"
of 16 yellow cards, 4 reds, 1 goal !!
(so cool ritex..)
with a team of young, good spirited, talented
and very eagar to win players..
i was really hoping they could win...
but maybe its all down to bad luck..
inexperience?? maybe too..
so long ORANJE..
till the next World Cup or European Championships then.
c
then at 11pm...
c
australia 0 -1 italy
Its was A CRUEL, UNJUST & totally BRUTAL exit
for the socceroos...
(yes yes i did expect them to lose to the stronger italians..
but still...)
it was a PENALTY totally uncall for at the final 12 secs
of injury time...
(BOO the referee...u need to be TRASHED)
yes i dun deny the fact that the italians
were tactically stronger ,more experienced,
were a team of techincally proficient individuals..
but the socceroos
havin reached the round of 16 for their very 1st world stage..
were visibily more hardworking ..
with good hardtackles and runs...
all they lack was the magical touch to
convert all scoring opportunites into a goal..
& with seconds into extra time...
the last tin they need was foul play..
(& i seriously tot they might just win then,
cos 'roos were physically stronger
and with 1 man dwn...the old men italians shld be "dying" by then )
my heart breaks for the 'roos..
though they are out...
but to me i think they were great...
they were at their best against the superior italians...
i guess its just me...
i like one who dare to put up a fight
even though knowing well they are somewhere somehow inferior to the other...
but they still give it all...
and in a smart way....
in short i like "fighters with brains'
and the "roos impresses me that way
