While going through my album, I realized I failed to register some of his many first.
1) His 1st sprain - maybe not 1st, since he sprained his toe prior. But nevertheless, a playground mishap I guess, no whine no cries, suspicion arose only when I noticed the kid was " pretending " to be a lion, crawling and roaring throughout grams house that day.
2) His 1st scar - I called it a naughty scar, caused by a broken basin cum cabinet which had him pinned underneath. Once again, despite the gushing blood from his hand, there were no cries no whine, just "Mama help" and of cos minor monetary damages for the father for the broken basin.
3) His 1st overseas injury - the one which hurt him the most, had him in tears and left him "crippled" for 2 days literally. Carrying a 20kg preschooler was quite a work out, no joke I say.
Am not an overly protective nor anxious parent but with the kiddos threshold to pain, (though I have to say, we taught him well about breaking fall, he did well for all to prevent his head/neck from getting injured) well, I cannot afford to give him the attention only after he cries, especially towards this kampong boy.
But for now, just so to sum up my post with one word , BOYS.
